What is EcoVadis?

Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has become the world’s largest provider of corporate sustainability ratings. As a recognised and independent evaluation platform, EcoVadis verifies corporate social responsibility in accordance with internationally applicable standards. The aim of EcoVadis is to make corporate performances in the area of corporate social responsibility transparent for business partners. In addition, EcoVadis supports companies in improving performances in the field of sustainability.

The EcoVadis evaluation focuses on a total of 21 criteria, which are divided into four thematic areas: labour and human rights, environment, ethics and sustainable procurement. The established criteria are based on international Corporate Social Responsibility Standards, such as the Global Compact Principles or the conventions of the International Labour Organisation. With the result achieved, Arca is among the top 25 percent of the companies rated by EcoVadis.

Outlook: The EcoVadis rating and the resulting scorecard are also available to other companies, especially in the chemical industry, and qualify Arca as a future supplier.

With the award, Arca can document its assumed responsibility for society, the environment and sustainable development within the company and is at the same time in contact with other companies in the industry in order to jointly promote sustainability throughout the supply chain.
