The PEMEX Cadereyta Refinery

Plant operators, for whom control valves are of central importance in the process and strongly impact efficiency and costs in the plant, require suppliers with innovative technology and outstanding service.

In 2001 ARCA delivered more than 1,300 valves to the PEMEX Refinery in Cadereyta, Mexico. PEMEX is a state-owned enterprise and operates across the entire value chain in the oil and gas industry, from research to production, logistics and petrochemistry. The key processes in this refinery are crude oil distillation, vacuum distillation, coking, catalytic cracking, reforming and hydrodesulfurization. The ECOTROL® valves, with their modular system and service-friendly construction, enable long service life and efficient maintenance. After more than 20 years, they continue to prove themselves in a wide range of processes in the refineries.

In 1998, ARCA founded ARCA Valvulas S.A. in Tampico, Mexico, for ongoing support of the operator on site. Today, our partner ACIMSA S.A. provides support for the PEMEX refineries from inquiry to after-sales. Two trailers, equipped with lathes and drills, sandblasting cabinets and a paint shop, permit mobile and flexible customer service. Our offering is rounded out by warehouses and production halls, service vehicles, test benches and a team with many years of experience.

Special features of the ARCA control valves:

  • Use of bellows for toxic hazardous media
  • Low noise and perforated cage combination for noise reduction
  • Lower guide for stable control without vibration even in the case of high pressure drop
  • Leakage class IV, V and VI for maximum inner leak tightness
  • Heating jacket to prevent solidification of the medium
